About the role
The Head of Compliance oversees the organizational compliance framework, ensures that the organization adheres to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards, and manages all risks associated with regulatory breaches
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and monitor all relevant compliance policies and procedures applicable to the organization.
- Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities
- Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for staff
- Establish transaction monitoring process
- Monitor customer on-boarding process, Financial Crime, Market Conduct and Sanctioning risks etc.
- Oversee investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor changes in regulations and ensure timely updates to policies
- Collaborate with business units to ensure compliance in all operations
- Report compliance activities and risks to senior management, executive committee, audit committee and the board
- Identify regulatory universe and obligation matrix applicable to the organization
- Ensure that risk of money laundry and terrorism financing are properly mitigated.
- Develop a Compliance monitoring plan and report on activities to the executive committee, audit committee and board
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in related field. Proven experience in compliance within the financial services industryStrong understanding of regulatory requirements and frameworksExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsCertification in compliance (e.g., CAMS or ICA) is a plusTechnical and Behavioral Skills
Regulatory Knowledge and Application : In-depth understanding of compliance laws and regulations.Program Development and Implementation : Ability to develop compliance program and implement them within the organizationConflict Resolution and Investigation : Ability to effectively resolve complex compliance issues and conflictsThird-Party Risk Management : Proficiency in monitoring third party compliance with organizational and regulatory standardsWhat you can expect from us
