bout the Role We are looking for an experienced Composite Propellant Plant C3P Technician to join our team In this role you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the pilot plant ensuring the correct handling mixing processing and curing of propellant materials The technician will operate some plant machinery remotely and adhere to safety protocols particularly when dealing with hazardous materials The technician will also assist in quality control and troubleshooting equipment issues during operation Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor all equipment used in the assembly mixing milling and curing cooling and dismantling processes of composite propellants Follow Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and Work Instructions to ensure precise ingredient measurements accurate mixing ratios and adherence to process parameters temperature pressure time etc as indicated on the mixing instruction Use control systems SCADA to monitor process variables such as temperature flow rates and curing times Perform manual tasks such as loading raw materials into mixers and handling prepared propellant batches as required Control and operate ATEXcertified ovens for preheating and curing ensuring uniform heating and proper curing times for each batch Strictly follow all health safety and environmental protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment PPE and adherence to explosive safety regulations Monitor and respond to safety alarms and equipment malfunctions to prevent incidents Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to execute emergency shutdown procedures in case of hazardous material exposure or equipment failure Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with local regulations Monitor and manage the availability of raw materials and consumables coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely restocking Keep track of inventory records and ensure the correct storage of materials in compliance with safety regulations Perform routine checks on equipment identifying any issues that could affect production efficiency or safety Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any defects or mechanical issues to the maintenance team for prompt repairs Collaborate with quality control personnel to verify that each batch meets required specifications Perform sampling for laboratory testing to check for mixture consistency and raw material quality Maintain accurate logs and records of manufacturing activities including equipment operation material usage and batch information Record any safety incidents operational issues or process deviations and report them to the Plant Manager Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Line Manager Requirements Minimum Experience 2 years of experience in the Chemical Mechanical or Industrial environment Preferred Experience 2 years of experience in the Defense environment Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Preferred Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent required Preferred Certification Vocational Training or Certification in Chemical Mechanical or Industrial Operations Preferred Control Panel Systems Knowledge Experience SCADA PAM or other automated control systems and operating ATEXcertified equipment
