Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its expanding team. The role involves providing specialized psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients aged 0–18
- Provide pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, educators, and social workers for holistic care
- Supervise junior psychiatrists and allied healthcare professionals
- Engage in family education, support, and psychoeducation programs
- Contribute to mental health awareness, early intervention programs, and school outreach initiatives
- Maintain full compliance with clinical documentation and regulatory requirements (e.g., DHA standards)
Qualifications & Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed specialty training in PsychiatrySubspecialty qualification in Child & Adolescent PsychiatryBoard certification (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience (at least 3–5 in a Consultant role)Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensureProficiency in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)Desirable Attributes
