The Equity Sales Trader will be responsible for executing equity trades on behalf of institutional clients, providing market insights, and ensuring best execution practices. The role requires a deep understanding of GCC equity markets, regulatory frameworks, and client engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with institutional investors and a proven track record in sales trading within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Trade Execution : Execute client equity trades efficiently and in line with best execution policies, ensuring minimal market impact.
- Client Coverage : Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds.
- Market Insights : Provide clients with real-time market commentary, trading ideas, and investment strategies tailored to regional and global market conditions.
- Order Flow Management : Work closely with research, sales, and trading teams to manage client orders, ensuring competitive pricing and liquidity access.
- Regulatory Compliance : Adhere to all local and international regulatory requirements, including those set by the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
- Risk Management : Monitor trade execution risks and implement appropriate controls to mitigate market, operational, and compliance risks.
- Collaboration : Coordinate with internal teams, including research analysts and corporate access teams, to deliver a full-service client experience.
- Technology & Innovation : Utilize electronic trading platforms and algorithmic strategies to enhance execution efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS :
Experience : 5-10 years of experience in equity sales trading, preferably within a bulge bracket or top-tier global investment bank.Market Knowledge : Strong understanding of GCC equity markets, including trading mechanisms, regulations, and institutional investor landscape.Client Network : Established relationships with key regional and global institutional investors.Technical Skills : Proficiency in Bloomberg, Fidessa, and other execution platforms; knowledge of algorithmic trading strategies is a plus.Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with CMA regulations and global compliance standards.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or similar certification is advantageous.Languages : Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.Seniority level
