CytoScreener Technologist

Role Purpose We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented CytoScreener to join our Laboratory Services team In this role you will specialize in the screening and evaluation of cytology specimens to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of diseases Your expertise will support accurate and timely reporting to guide patient care and treatment plans Requirements Key Responsibilities 1 Cytology Screening Screen and evaluate cytological specimens including gynecological Pap smears and nongynecological samples for abnormal cellular changes Identify and classify malignant premalignant and benign conditions based on cytological findings Experience in ROSE rapid on site evaluation Experience in different cytology techniques and staining 2 Microscopic Examination Perform microscopic analysis of prepared slides using advanced imaging techniques Ensure accurate screening by following laboratory protocols and quality assurance measures 3 Reporting and Documentation Prepare detailed and accurate preliminary reports for pathologist review Document findings and maintain records in compliance with regulatory standards 4 Quality Assurance and Compliance Adhere to laboratory quality assurance protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy Participate in quality control measures including rescreening and proficiency testing Ensure compliance with CBAHI JCI CAP and other accreditation standards 5 Collaboration and Communication Work closely with pathologists laboratory staff and clinicians to provide timely and accurate results Maintain effective communication regarding case findings and special requests Essential Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Medical Laboratory Science Cytotechnology or related field Experience Minimum of 2 years in cytology screening including gynecological and nongynecological specimens Licensing Valid license from the Saudi Council for Health Specialties Certification training in GYN and NonGYN cytology ASC certificate of equivalent Desired Qualifications Education Advanced certification in cytotechnology or master s degree in a related field Experience 5 years of experience with proficiency in liquidbased cytology e g ThinPrep SurePath and fine needle aspiration FNA cytology Skills Familiarity with digital cytology systems and advanced diagnostic tools Key Competencies and Skills Proficiency in microscopic examination and identification of abnormal cellular patterns Strong attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with pathologists and clinicians Knowledge of laboratory standards and accreditation requirements CBAHI JCI CAP Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical laboratory practices You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
