The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our UAE Business Unit.

Wood has been awarded a general engineering contract to support an International Client operator to deliver a portfolio of onshore capital projects by provision of engineering and project management services (including EPC contract management), as well as Supply Chain, Construction and Commissioning support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices.
Projects include both Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects and integrating low-carbon solutions to support our client’s energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

Key Objectives
Provide client with an excellent service, by delivering the projects in a safe manner to the agreed schedule dates and within approved budgetsIn depth focus on MR’s and TBE’s – analysing, reporting, attending relevant meetingsWork closely with assets and work pack teams to identify opportunities to release drawings with holds and split work packsDelivery of individual, Project Performance with respect to Procurement, Schedule, Cost, Safety and Quality to meet asset operational needsArrange and participate in all project safety, design and constructability reviewsProvide assistance in timely resolution of site queriesZero defect toleranceStrict adherence to Project Procedures usageEstablishing Work Orders WBS Structure and alignment of proposals & CTR development with an emphasis on scope developmentProject delivery to agreed schedule datesPreparation of Weekly Project DashboardsTo drive interface management, liaising with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completionPromote safe behaviour at all timesWork Order Proposal preparation, including scope and deliverable definitionBase line schedule preparation, Work Order Kick Off, Change Control within work orders, Risk Management within work orders, Work Order reporting, Budget Control of work orders and Accurate reporting against active work ordersSchedule ManagementDaily Relationship Management and interface with client PE and other stakeholdersBe proactive in safety behaviors and leadershipWork Order Proposal – development of delivery strategy, WBS and review of the completed CTR’sSchedule approval – work with planning team to produce a base line schedule for client approvalWork Order Kick Off meetings – prepare for and manage the kick off meetings in accordance with project proceduresChange Management – Ensure any potential changes and variations are managed in a timely manner with the clients approval and to the approved processRisk Management – all associated risk are to be identified, assessed and registered with appropriate mitigation measures identifiedQualifications

Expected
Minimum of 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry with minimum 5 years similar experienceDegree qualification in an Engineering disciplinePrevious experience in upstream oil and gas (Brownfield and Greenfield)Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferredPrevious experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantageExperience of a leadership role in Project Coordination with the ability to manage a teamGood Oral and Communication skillsMust be able to supervise and delegateMust have good interpersonal skills / team playerAbout Us
