Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to develop accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and potential side effects in a collaborative manner.
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care and effective communication among healthcare providers.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients, employing evidence-based approaches to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and treatment modalities to continually improve clinical practices and patient care standards.
- Act as a mentor and supervisor for junior psychiatrists and medical students, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
- Engage in crisis intervention and management, utilizing de-escalation techniques and comprehensive safety planning.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to support patients’ social and psychological needs post-treatment.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in clinical audits and research projects, contributing to the advancement of psychiatric knowledge and practice.
Desired Candidate Profile
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in psychiatry from an accredited institution.Board certification in psychiatry, demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical competency in the field.A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in psychiatric practice, with a focus on adult mental health.Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, showcasing versatility in managing diverse patient populations.Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in additional languages considered a strong asset for patient communication.Strong analytical skills to conduct thorough assessments and formulate evidence-based treatment plans effectively.Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues in a collaborative environment.Demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with evolving psychiatric practices.Culturally sensitive approach to care, respecting diversity and individual patient needs in treatment planning.Disclaimer : Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
