Role & Responsibilities
Uniqus is seeking looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Manager with a Financial Services background to join our ARC team. The role involves delivering high-impact advisory services to clients in the banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech sectors, with a focus on complex IFRS matters, regulatory reporting, and transaction accounting.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile FS clients and complex financial reporting engagements in a fast-paced and dynamic market.
Responsibilities :
- Support and manage ARC projects for FS clients, including :
- IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 implementations and advisory
- Financial instruments accounting (valuation, classification, impairment)
- Preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS
- Finance transformation and process optimization
- Conduct technical accounting research and prepare client deliverables, including technical memos and position papers.
- Work closely with FS clients to assess their accounting and financial reporting processes and provide tailored solutions.
- Support Managers and Partners in project planning, execution, and client management.
- Supervise and coach junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Assist in business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations.
Requirements
THE INDIVIDUAL
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is required.4–6 years of experience in accounting advisory or audit, with a minimum of 2–3 years working with FS clients (banks, insurers, investment firms).Strong understanding of IFRS, especially standards relevant to financial instruments and insurance contracts.Experience in the UAE or wider GCC financial services market is a strong advantage.Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.Qualification
