Within Wood Abu Dhabi, we are actively expanding our project delivery portfolio to include Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Contracts.
As part of this growth, we are looking for personnel to join our team, either from internal Wood employees or the external market.
The type of personnel we are looking for is broad ranging including :
- Ambitious people that want to grow their career within this exciting contract execution model, where they will gain experience across the full project lifecycle from Detailed Engineering, through Procurement & Fabrication and into the Offshore Execution, covering Construction, Commissioning, Start -up and Handover to Operations.
- Experienced personnel with a background in PMC, EPC or EPCM projects, that can take on senior positions within the organisation and use their experience to steer the team to deliver outstanding performance across a portfolio of projects for Major Operators.

Job Objective :
The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of Brownfield Safety Critical Projects on multiple offshore platforms; including large production complexes (multiple platforms bridge linked) and remote Wellhead Towers, located offshore within the UAE under an EPCM contracting model.
Typical projects include Fire & Gas System Upgrades, Power Upgrades, Control System Upgrades, Flare System Upgrades and Platform Structural Modifications.
Effective Construction Execution Planning and delivery, focused on delivering a portfolio of project scopes across production complexes and wellhead towers in line with agreed HSE, Quality, Schedule & Costs.
Efficient management of Jack-up barges to provide accommodation and working area alongside platform and wellhead towers to minimize project cost and schedule.
Efficient management of Construction Contractors workforce to deliver projects safely, to the required standards within budget and schedule.
Provide certainty and confidence to the Client and Wood Project Sponsor, that the contract is being delivered safely with a strong focus on optimization, cost control, risk management, schedule adherence and stakeholder management.
Qualifications :
or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent combination of qualifications and experienceAdvanced degree in construction management is highly desirable.Minimum Experience :
Minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience in the oil & gas industry including offshore Brownfield projects., including at least five (5) years in similar position.Role-Specific Skills / Experience :
Demonstrable ability to manage Construction Contractors on offshore Brownfield Oil & Gas projects for major Oil & Gas companies.Experience of managing offshore projects containing marine spreads and materials movement and logistics as part of the scope.Specific experience in the Middle East for renowned clients, preferred.Personality, ability, and experience to drive, manage, direct, and guide the team to achieve project objectives.Thorough understanding of latest construction methods, modern project management techniques and environmental engineering aspects of construction execution. High level of professional competence and management skills to motivate the team to achieve high quality performance during the execution of the portfolio of projects.Thorough knowledge of project success and benefits management.Demonstrable ability to drive cash flow management and projection / forecast of cost at completion.Demonstrable experience in coordinating packages, constructability reviews, site plan management and construction progress measurement and tracking.Experienced in developing schedules and cost estimates for standard projects.Good knowledge of industry and company risk management processes.Experience of implementing successful project performance improvement activities and techniques for recovering poor performance.Understands the needs of information management requirements in the project phases (operation), internal (contractual, statutory) and asset (customer) documentation.Well versed in international and company quality assurance standardsRobust knowledge of all handover and close-out activities required for customer, company, and suppliers.Personal attributes :
