We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic emergency care team. The PA will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care under the supervision of a licensed emergency medicine physician. The ideal candidate is experienced, confident in clinical decision-making, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Perform medical procedures such as suturing, splinting, intubation, wound care, and fracture reduction as required.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with emergency physicians.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and treatment options.
- Provide patient education on disease management, injury prevention, and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency department case reviews.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all patient interactions and clinical activities.
Required Qualifications :
Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings preferred.Skills and Competencies :
