Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head ofFinance to lead all financial operations across HQMena’s global events andbusiness units. The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of finance leadershipexperience, preferably within the events, exhibitions, or financial servicesindustries. You will oversee financial planning and analysis, budgeting,forecasting, reporting, compliance, and risk management, ensuring fiscalefficiency and alignment with HQMena’s ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadand manage the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting,accounting, audit, and financial reporting.
  • Developand implement financial strategies aligned with HQMena's long-term goalsand event-driven business model.
  • Workclosely with the Directors and departmental heads to support commercialdecision-making and optimize revenue streams.
  • Analyzefinancial data and provide accurate and timely financial reports,dashboards, and KPIs to senior management.
  • Monitorfinancial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiatingcorrective actions, and minimizing financial risk.
  • Ensurecompliance with international accounting standards, taxation laws, andregulatory requirements.
  • Overseevendor contracts, sponsorships, event budgets, and P&L management forall major expos (Forex, Money, and Crypto Expo).
  • Optimizeworking capital and cash flow to support operational and event needs.
  • Collaboratewith external auditors, legal teams, and tax consultants as required.
  • Leadand mentor a high-performing finance team.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 8–12years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3years in a leadership role.
  • Priorexperience in the events / exhibitions, media, or financial services sectoris highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Strongknowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance.
  • Hands-onexperience with financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Proficientin financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP, QuickBooks, Excel, BI tools).
  • Excellentanalytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highattention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functionalstakeholders.
  • Abilityto manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
