Job Title : Deputy Head of Securities (Equity Sales and Trading)

Location : Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Unit Purpose : The securities division exists to deliver high-quality sales and trading services across regional and international markets. It is tasked with expanding market presence, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing operations, and driving innovation within the brokerage and securities landscape.

Job Purpose : The Deputy Head plays a key leadership role in defining and executing the strategic vision of the securities business. The position is central to business expansion, regulatory alignment, operational efficiency, and introducing client-focused innovation in brokerage and trading platforms.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables :

  • Strategic Leadership : Revenue growth, strategic alignment, digital innovation
  • Define and drive strategic initiatives across key markets (e.g., KSA, UAE, Egypt, Turkey)
  • Oversee digital transformation projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Compliance, etc.)
  • Operational Excellence : Cost-efficiency, process optimization
  • Lead cost-saving projects without compromising service quality
  • Improve operational workflows and systems
  • Market Development : Market share expansion, client base growth
  • Launch new products and services
  • Develop partnerships with key brokers in each market
  • Optimize pricing and trading structures
  • Regulatory Compliance : Audit results, compliance issue resolution
  • Ensure alignment with local / international regulations
  • Oversee KYC processes and internal audits
  • Client-Centric Strategy : Client growth and retention, AUM expansion
  • Tailor offerings to client segments
  • Strengthen digital channels and client engagement
  • Team Leadership : Staff engagement, productivity, alignment with goals
  • Build and manage high-performing teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability and innovation
  • Internal and External Stakeholder Management : Internal : Collaborates with IT, Finance, Compliance, Asset Management, Private Banking, Retail, and other units.

External : Interfaces with customers, strategic partners, financial exchanges (e.g., DFM, ADX, Tadawul, Borsa Istanbul), vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Person Specifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience : 20+ years in brokerage / trading sectors with leadership exposure in the MENA region
  • Technical Skills : In-depth knowledge of trading platforms, market regulations, and regional exchanges
  • Soft Skills : Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Languages : Arabic and English (Desirable)
  • Behavioral Competencies : Strong leadership and strategic thinking, high emotional intelligence and stakeholder engagement, resilient and agile in fast-changing market conditions, results-oriented with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
