The role holder is responsible for overseeing all vehicle service related issues and overseeing the repairs and maintenance of vehicles with an aim to maximize the utilization of the fleet Plans schedules and executes the deployment of new vehicles and defleet of active and total loss vehicles in line with company policy and regulatory compliance Act as central focal point for all base stations in collating information related to Invoicing Insurance excess defleeting and scrap Responsibilities Strategic Participate in the preparation and administration of the fleet budget for all Base Stations Submit budget recommendations based on historical and analytical data Monitor expenditures Policies and Processes Ensures compliance to safety quality environmental management policies procedures and controls Think out of the box to implement processes that help decrease costs and improve efficiency Reports Generates reports of all accident related charges for recovery and nonrecovery for approval and adjustment of accounts Generates daily report of work orders and maintenance activities carried out for reconciliation with other concerned departments Provides necessary support to the manager by extracting data necessary to generate reports Operational Directs repair and maintenance of vehicles using inhouse mechanic staff or outsourcing to be approved vendors as appropriate Monitors drivers for negligence of required vehicle services and reports to management if further action is required Audits all service invoices by verifying the parts and labour rates associated with the service performed on the vehicle Maintains accurate records of all fleet and equipment repairs and maintenance Workshop invoice validation and control on the same Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role People Management Direct the fleet assistants taking timely decision on day to day activities as and when required Ensures strict adherence by the fleet staffs in following the companys policies processes procedures Handling drivers queries related to the vehicle maintenance accidents Product Process Improvement Vehicle Availability Timely Vehicle delivery to Drivers Real Time System Records of Vehicle maintained Qualifications Education Certifications Diploma Bachelors Degree Preferably in Engineering Knowledge Skill Excellent analytical interpersonnel organizational communicational skills Ability to work under pressure Good understanding of Fleet management requirements dynamics High degree of integrity honesty in all dealings Experience A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in a similar role Experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis and repair Ability to work under pressure You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
