Finance Analyst Tax

Job PurposeL The job holder under the supervision of Finance controller Reconciliation and Tax and direction of Manager Reporting and Business Support perform highly Professional accounting task within the area of assignment The job holder is responsible to handle the VAT accounting compliance reconciliation and submitting tax return to ENOC Group for an individual company or a group of companies in line with the policies and procedures as agreed Principal Accountabilities Tax codes Provide guidance to users on usage of tax codes after reviewing nature of transaction and origin Collaborate with the business and GFS for proper VAT accounting treatment on sales and purchases Support Controller to pursue data quality culture of capturing right VAT information at source and minimal corrections Data for VAT calculation Identify data required to support VAT calculation Coordinate with IT to obtain transactions details Analyse VAT transactions for accuracy VAT Compliance Analyse transactions for compliance with VAT regulation Review coding structure in Financial Accounts for VAT accounting Highlight instances of nonconformities to control framework and potential control issues on day to day transactions for resolution Keep updating on recent VAT amendments and clarification Highlighting implication of VAT amendments Additional Principal Accountabilities VAT Return Compile and compute VAT returns Prepare VAT return as per FTA guideline Prepare VAT returns and arrange timely submission VAT Reconciliation Prepare monthly VAT Balance Sheet reconciliations for VAT liability accounts Analyse and notify supervisor on observation of issues in VAT return for corrective action Prepare refund claims and or voluntary disclosure within prescribed time as per VAT regulation Assist financial accounting section in areas of GL reconciliation to improve VAT reporting VAT Reporting Prepare quarterly VAT return to ENOC Group Prepare gather information to respond for information requests from FTA Prepare extract analyse and produce timely and accurate financial statistical report on VAT returns as required Provide input to development of VAT compliant systems Audit Professional Consultancy Prepares information on VAT to internal external and government audit Prepare detailed VAT issue scenarios for consultants to review and obtain professional opinion for management to comply with FTA regulation Experience Special Assignments Assist the Finance controller Reconciliation and Tax with adhoc projects and special assignments Minimum requirements Professional Qualification in finance CA ACCA CPA MBA or Finance graduate subject to below experience Experience 3 to 5 years of professional experience Experience in handling VAT Tax return in UAE or in other countries Communication skills and computer literate Experience in Accounting and Financial software and Microsoft programs You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
