Assist the Armament Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all aircraft armament systems.
Will also be responsible to :
1. Disassemble repair, resemble, adjust, remove, replace, service, prepare, preserve, clean, troubleshoot, and perform intermediate maintenance on armament weapons support equipment and aircraft armament equipment.
2. Load and unload airborne weapons and store aboard aircraft to include reconfiguration and functional testing of aircraft weapons release and control, missile, and guns systems.
3. Procure supplies, prepare reports, and utilize publications pertinent to aviation ordnance and aircraft armament equipment.
4. Conduct functional tests of racks, launchers, adapters and electrical components, aircraft armament circuits and maintain them in an operational status by appropriate preventive maintenance.
5. Conduct functional tests of aircraft armament electrical fusing, firing, and release circuits and maintains them in an operational status.
6. Inspect and prepare forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-750.
7. Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of aircraft armament and related components.
8. Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
9. Must be able to bend, climb on and off the aircraft. Stand for prolonged periods of time, and be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs.)
10. Must be willing to travel or relocate to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), for short or long rotations, in support of the company’s mission requirements.

Qualification
High school graduate or equivalent.
Completion of a formal Armament training course from an accredited military or civilian school.
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English Language.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years working with aircraft “crew served weapons” preferably M3M, M3P, M240, M134, GAU19, and rocket pods.
Thorough knowledge of common tools, special tools, hardware and equipment used in the maintenance of aircraft armament equipment.
Must be able to troubleshoot armament system malfunctions and interpret applicable technical data.
Knowledge on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
Knowledge on Microsoft Office and associated programs is desirable.
