Job Summary :
The Civil Inspector is responsible for on-site inspection and monitoring of civil and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards. The role involves day-to-day site supervision, documentation, and coordination with contractors to ensure that construction activities are executed as per the quality requirements, project schedule, and safety standards. The Civil Inspector provides support to the supervision team by reporting non-conformances and assisting in resolving technical issues on-site.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Inspect civil works including excavation, backfilling, road works, utility installation, manholes, kerbs, and pavement layers.
Monitor the implementation of the contractor’s quality control procedures.
Maintain detailed daily records of construction activities, manpower, and equipment on site.
Liaise with the contractor’s site engineers, foremen, and surveyors to resolve site issues.
Monitor compliance with HSE requirements on-site and report any violations.
Provide feedback on site constructability or discrepancies to the ARE / RE for clarification.
