Job Purpose :
The Mechanical Superintendent will oversee all mechanical construction, maintenance, and commissioning activities for the ADNOC project, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements. The role involves supervising contractors, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring timely completion of mechanical works while maintaining quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Construction & Supervision :
- Lead and supervise mechanical construction activities, including piping, static & rotating equipment, HVAC, and utility systems.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC, international codes (ASME, API, ANSI), and project specifications.
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and work procedures.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
2. Planning & Coordination :
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery and resource allocation.Support the planning team in developing mechanical work schedules and progress tracking.Resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineers and client representatives.3. Quality & Compliance :
Ensure all mechanical works meet ADNOC and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, API).Conduct inspections, witness tests (hydrostatic, pneumatic, alignment), and review QA / QC documentation.Implement corrective actions for non-conformities and audit findings.4. HSE & Risk Management :
Enforce strict HSE policies (ADNOC COP, OSHA) and conduct safety toolbox talks.Identify and mitigate risks related to mechanical activities (e.g., lifting, pressure testing).Ensure PTW (Permit to Work) and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) compliance.5. Commissioning & Handover :
Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical systems.Verify mechanical completion and assist in system handover to operations.Ensure as-built documentation and punch list closure.Qualifications & Experience :
Education : Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Experience : Minimum 12+ years in oil & gas (onshore / offshore) in a superintendent role.Technical Skills : Proficiency in piping, pumps, compressors, turbines, and familiarity with SAP / MAXIMO.Certifications : ADNOC approval (preferred), OSHA / NEBOSH, CSWIP, or equivalent.Company Industry
