Responsibilities
Technical Oversight & Engineering Delivery
- Serve as the accountable lead for all technical deliverables across Detailed Design, Tender, and IFC stages of aquatic projects.
- Oversee the production and review of mechanical, electrical, and architectural design packages including drawings, BIM models, PFDs, and specifications.
- Ensure alignment with international standards, regional codes, and client-specific requirements.
- Provide engineering inputs into MEP budgets, calculations, reports, and IFC documentation.
- Ensure all technical submissions pass QAQC review protocols and represent best engineering practices.
Project & Team Leadership
Manage internal design coordination across multiple platforms (Revit, BIM360, Aconex), ensuring timely and consistent outputs.Supervise day-to-day workflows across internal and offshore resources, balancing priorities, deadlines, and technical quality.Facilitate internal and external coordination meetings, technical workshops, and reviews with project stakeholders and consultants.Monitor team output and morale, coaching staff to elevate productivity, accountability, and cross-functionalmunication.Client Interface & Issue Resolution
Represent WSP as the lead technical authority in client-facing meetings, RFIs, and design coordination calls.Address and resolve technical issues quickly through proactive decision-making and clear internal / externalmunication.Coordination, Risk, and Scope Management
Ensure adherence to contractual scope and flag any scope creep or deviations to relevant stakeholders.Coordinate across departments to manage deliverables, risk mitigation, resource planning, and design extrapolation from master coordination sets.Support initial contract review and participate in scope alignment meetings during project mobilisation.QAQC, Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
Implement and uphold robust QA / QC systems, including review cycles and RLR protocols.Lead root-cause investigations and lessons learned initiatives to reduce rework and improve technical delivery efficiency.Collaborate with BIM and document control teams to ensure models and submissions are formatted, coordinated, andpliant with BEP requirements.Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.10-15 years of experience in the detailed design and technical delivery of aquatic systems, MEP-heavy environments, or public realm infrastructure.Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams, including engineers, BIM / Revit technicians, and offshore production staff, with a focus on mentoring, quality assurance, and performance management.Deep technical knowledge of water feature and pool systems, including hydraulics, filtration, water treatment, electrical controls, lighting integration, and special effects.High proficiency with engineering and design tools such as Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, and hydraulic calculation software.Strong understanding of international and regional codes.Hands-on experience managing BIM models and IFC / Tender document production, including QA / QC workflows and BEPpliance.Experience collaborating with architects, creative designers, and other technical disciplines to integrate engineered solutions into broader design narratives.Exceptional coordination and project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver on time and within scope in fast-paced multidisciplinary environments.Excellent written and verbalmunication skills, including the ability to present technical content to clients, design teams, and contractors.A mindset focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice implementation.Professional licensure or certification (, , CEng, LEED AP) is preferred.Previous experience in an international consultancy or multidisciplinary design firm is strongly preferred.Job ID 300012976905010
