General Accountant

General Accountant Job Location Dubai United Arab Emirates We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented experienced General Accountant preferably an Arabic to join our financial firm in the UAE The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping accounts receivable and other accountingrelated tasks should have a strong understanding of accounting principles excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team and contribute to our continued growth and success Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records including general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable Process invoices payments and receipts Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts Manage accounts receivable including sending invoices following up on overdue payments and processing collections Prepare and submit tax filings Assist with monthend and yearend closing processes Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations Assist with audits as required Manage and Oversee Inventory Accounting Handle petty cash and other cash management duties Perform other accountingrelated duties as assigned Assist in the development of financial plans and strategies to support business growth Collaborate with other departments and management to provide financial information and support decisionmaking Investigate and resolve financial issues or discrepancies Recommend solutions to improve financial performance and efficiency Stay updated on industry trends accounting best practices and technological advancements Qualifications Bachelor s degree in accounting or a related field with minimum 34 years of experience in accounting bookkeeping Strong understanding of accounting principles IFRS Proficiency in accounting software e g ZOHO QuickBooks Xero and Microsoft Excel What We Offer Friendly Environment Work in a supportive and collaborative environment where your ideas are valued Smart Work Culture Emphasize smart work and efficiency without the pressures of micromanagement Work Independently Enjoy the freedom to work independently and take ownership of your tasks Professional Growth Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the company Competitive Salary Offering an attractive compensation package that reflects your skills and experience Skills required Excellent written and communication skills Advanced MS Excel skills including V lookups and pivot tables Experience with general ledger functions Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Prior experience in a serviceoriented accounting firm managing multiple clients will be advantageous Good interpersonal skills Good negotiation skills Indepth knowledge of accounting software
