Job Overview
As Director in the Loan Capital Markets team, you will lead the origination and execution of primary syndicated loan transactions for key FAB clients across corporate, sovereign, and GRE segments. Your responsibilities include structuring lending solutions, client engagement, documentation oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to support FAB s strategic business goals. This role demands high-level financial modeling skills, solid knowledge of regional and international loan markets, and a strong commercial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and structure corporate and sovereign loan transactions in coordination with coverage teams
- Execute syndicated and bilateral lending deals in alignment with FAB s credit and risk policies
- Develop financing solutions to differentiate FAB in a competitive regional market
- Analyze deal structures and conduct due diligence, including financial model creation and review
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage documentation process using LMA standards
- Maintain active engagement with internal stakeholders including Credit, Legal, Coverage, and DCM teams
- Contribute to portfolio review, refinancing opportunities, and restructuring strategies
- Ensure timely and accurate internal reporting and MIS generation
- Support strategic initiatives including budget planning and market positioning
- Identify and support cross-sell opportunities in Debt Capital Markets, Global Markets, and Agency services
Financial Management
Provide input to the sub-departmental budget and performance trackingAddress any gaps in revenue generation with corrective action plansGovernance & Standards
Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies, market regulations, and risk management frameworksMaintain a high standard of documentation quality and process integrityJob Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CFA or MBA preferred7+ years of experience in corporate finance or syndicated lending within a banking environmentStrong credit assessment and cash flow modeling abilitiesProven experience with LMA-standard loan documentation and multi-party deal structuringFamiliarity with UAE / GCC markets and cross-border finance practicesStrong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and concisenessHigh attention to detail and ability to handle multiple complex transactions under pressureExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsAbility to mentor and support junior staff on deal execution and client engagementWhat We Offer
