We are looking for an outstanding Head of Secondary, to start from August 2024 or sooner. This role is for an exceptional leader who demonstrates a high level of turnaround leadership competencies with a proven track record and is an exciting opportunity to lead the secondary wing of our well-reputed British curriculum school into excellence. The Head of the Secondary will be responsible for supporting the school's Vision and Mission as well as all policies, teaching and learning outcomes and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Contribute to the strategic leadership of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, directly reporting to the Principal.
• Uphold the vision & mission of the school and support the Principal to take the school to the next level.
• Hold responsibility and accountability for day-to-day operations and all academic affairs of the Secondary wing.
• Ensure excellent understanding of UK curriculum IGCSE, AS & A level board examination assessment standards.
• Contribute to school improvement plans and self-evaluation of teaching and learning.
• Supervise instructional programs, evaluate lesson plans, and observe classes regularly.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of best practice pedagogy.
• Supervise discipline and attendance systems, ensuring high standards and adherence to child safeguarding policies.
• Display high ethical and professional standards when working with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Foster a learning environment for continuous improvement in academic and holistic education.
• Develop innovative and engaging learning designs to boost leadership team capabilities.
• Align Teaching, Learning, and Assessment practices with performance standards.
• Enhance UAE culture in line with national guidelines.
• Ensure high team engagement and commitment to initiatives.
• Liaise with curriculum and assessment teams regarding development, data triangulation, and performance indicators.
• Prepare for KHDA inspections and audits, liaising with governing bodies and inspectors.
• Lead and manage secondary staff performance.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in professional duties.
