Librarian Job Location UAE Responsibilities Organize and maintain the librarys collection of books periodicals and other materials Assist patrons in locating information and resources providing reference and research assistance Develop and maintain a comprehensive cataloging system to ensure efficient access to library materials Plan and conduct library programs and events to engage the community and promote literacy Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom instruction Stay updated on emerging trends in library sciences and technological advancements to enhance library services Provide assistance with technology resources including computer and internet access printing and digital media Requirements Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field Proven experience working in a library or similar environment Strong knowledge of library cataloging systems and classification standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of library patrons Knowledge of current research methodologies and information retrieval techniques Proficient in using library software and digital platforms for cataloging and organizing materials
