Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie specializing in Arabic Cuisine to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting authentic Arabic dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in taste and presentation
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen, overseeing junior staff and coordinating with other sections
- Develop and refine recipes, contributing to menu planning and seasonal updates
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in your designated area
- Maintain kitchen equipment and workstations, keeping them clean and organized
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and inventory management
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques and kitchen protocols
- Collaborate with the team to create innovative Arabic-inspired dishes while respecting traditional flavors
- Participate in menu tastings and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Adapt to fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently during service hours
Qualifications
Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institutionMinimum 3-5 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, preferably in high-volume or fine dining restaurantsExtensive knowledge of Arabic and Middle Eastern cuisines, including regional variations and specialtiesProficiency in Arabic cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and use of traditional ingredientsStrong knife skills and expertise in operating various kitchen equipmentExcellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with current HACCP certificationProven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior staffCreativity and passion for developing innovative Arabic-inspired dishesPhysical stamina to withstand long hours of standing and working in a hot kitchen environmentFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredProficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
