Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist to join a prestigious hospital in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of adult oncology patients, with a strong commitment to evidence-based care and patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
- Lead multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and collaborate with surgical and radiation oncology teams
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress throughout the care continuum
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and prognosis
- Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and institutional protocols
- Contribute to the development of oncology services and mentorship of junior staff
Qualifications & Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency and fellowship in Medical OncologyBoard-certified (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience, including consultant-level practiceEligibility for DHA Consultant licensure (Dubai Health Authority)Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantagePreferred Attributes
Subspecialty interest in breast, GI, or thoracic oncologyStrong communication and patient counseling skillsExperience in clinical trials or academic oncologyFamiliarity with EMR systems and international oncology guidelines
