Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects including material labor and overhead costs Helping in the preparation and analysis of tender documents for contractors and suppliers Monitoring and tracking costs throughout the construction phase to prevent cost overruns and ensure the project stays within budget Assisting in managing contracts between clients contractors and suppliers ensuring that all parties adhere to the agreed terms Visiting construction sites to check the progress and monitor the quality of the work ensuring it aligns with cost estimates Measuring and assessing the quantities of materials and work done onsite to ensure proper billing and cost reporting Creating cost reports and providing updates to senior quantity surveyors or management on project progress costs and potential issues Skills and Qualifications A degree or diploma in quantity surveying construction management or a related field Understanding of construction methods materials and project management principles Proficiency in AutoCAD is prefreerd Good communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients contractors and team members
