Job Description
The Pump Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on various pump systems, including HVAC and water filtration equipment. The role involves inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and performance monitoring to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Perform regular PPM on booster, transfer, sump, sewage, fire, and HVAC pumps according to schedule.
- Diagnose and conduct corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, seals, couplings, bearings, and valves.
- Inspect and maintain plate-type and shell & tube heat exchangers, including cleaning and replacing gaskets.
- Monitor and maintain filtration systems for domestic water, swimming pools, HVAC loops, and wastewater.
- Conduct vibration, noise, and leak checks; record flow, pressure, and temperature data.
- Dismantle and reassemble pumps and mechanical systems using appropriate tools and procedures.
Requirements
Sound knowledge of centrifugal, submersible, gear, and vertical inline pumpsFamiliarity with PPM schedules, maintenance checklists, and CMMS systemsHands-on experience with mechanical seal replacements, pump alignment, motor coupling, and impeller balancingKnowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, and water chemistry (a plus)Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manualsGood communication and reporting skillsSafety-conscious; able to work independently or in a teamBenefits
