Job Description
Time Out Abu Dhabi is looking for a brilliant, creative and dynamic Editor with multi-platform experience to lead the brand and content team. You must have a passion for editorial innovation, an eye for a traffic-driving story and your ear to the ground of Abu Dhabi’s going-out scene across art, culture, food, nightlife and beyond. This role is based in ITP Media Group’s Abu Dhabi office in TwoFour54.
Requirements
- Responsible for the overall production, execution and management of Time Out Abu Dhabi across digital, social, print and events.
- Editing, proofing and publishing Time Out Abu Dhabi’s daily digital content, ensuring stories are on brand, on time and contribute to daily audience targets.
- Lead the ideation and development of creative front covers across Time Out Abu Dhabi’s seasonal print products, including the quarterly Time Out Abu Dhabi magazine and annual Abu Dhabi Restaurant Guide.
- Work with other Editors within the wider Time Out Group to make sure goals and projects are aligned, and maintain a strong working relationship with the commercial team.
- Build and maintain an editorial calendar across digital, print, video and social.
- Meet web traffic and social growth goals.
- Oversee Time Out Abu Dhabi’s annual Awards processes, in conjunction with Time Out’s Group Food Editor.
- Ensure Time Out GCC’s editorial standards are met, and content meets local and legal guidelines.
- Be an effective Time Out brand ambassador, establishing good relationships with key players across the city.
- Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene; use your professional contacts and social-media networks to be the first to identify the next big thing.
- Undertake reviews and occasionally attend events outside of office hours.
KEY SKILLS
Fluent in web analytics software (GA4, Chartbeat, etc).Ability to produce flawless editorial copy, filled with personality but with search optimisation front-of-mind.Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practice.Data-driven, but understands that brand longevity wins every time.Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.A strong industry reputation (preferred).Flexibility and a professional approach at all times.Fluent English.WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN CANDIDATES
