The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing the payroll functions of the organization including calculating wages processing payments maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with tax laws and labor regulations The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless operations Duties and Responsibilities Process biweekly or monthly payroll for all employees ensuring accuracy in calculations of hours worked overtime bonuses deductions and taxes Maintain uptodate employee records related to payroll information including new hires terminations salary changes and benefits enrollments Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations by staying informed about changes in legislation Prepare payroll reports for management review as needed Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a timely manner Coordinate with external auditors during audits related to payroll processes Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or software as required Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and integrity Skills Knowledge and Experience Required Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance Human Resources or a related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing within a corporate environment experience in the construction industry is a plus Strong knowledge of payroll software e g ADP Paychex as well as Microsoft Excel proficiency Familiarity with relevant labor laws and tax regulations Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Strong communication skills both verbal and written In Return Doveworth Limited offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience along with comprehensive benefits packages that include health insurance retirement plans paid time off professional development opportunities and more We value our employees contributions and strive to create an inclusive workplace culture
