Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Technical Design with a strong background in event and exhibition structures , custom fabrication, and 3D design. This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the entire technical design department, ensuring structural feasibility, design-to-fabrication accuracy, and innovation across all projects. The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with technical excellence and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Supervise : Manage and mentor the technical design team including 3D designers, CAD operators, and draughtsmen.
• Design Oversight : Review and approve technical drawings and 3D models ensuring feasibility, accuracy, and compliance with project briefs.
• Project Collaboration : Work closely with the project management, production, and installation teams to translate creative concepts into buildable solutions.
• Innovation & Efficiency : Drive technical innovation and optimize design workflows to reduce lead time and material wastage.
• Client Interaction : Attend client meetings when required to understand scope, provide technical input, and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Quality Control : Ensure all outputs meet structural integrity, safety standards, and Unigraf’s high-quality benchmarks.
• Tool Mastery : Oversee the use and implementation of design software including AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, SolidWorks, and others.
• Documentation : Ensure proper documentation of drawings, BOQs, material specs, and installation guides.
