Mental Health Nurse Job Location UAE Key Responsibilities Assess and monitor the mental health needs of patients including conducting risk assessments and developing care plans Provide direct nursing care to individuals with mental health conditions including administering prescribed medications and treatments Collaborate with psychiatrists therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement holistic treatment plans Monitor patients progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed ensuring they receive the most appropriate care Provide emotional support counseling and guidance to patients and their families promoting positive mental wellbeing Ensure patients safety and comfort by adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records documenting observations interventions and outcomes Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions treatment options and strategies for coping and recovery Skills Strong knowledge of mental health nursing practices including the management of psychiatric medications therapeutic interventions and crisis intervention Proficiency in using mental health assessment tools and electronic health records EHR systems Ability to provide care in a variety of settings including inpatient wards outpatient clinics and communitybased services Experience in working with patients suffering from a range of mental health conditions including anxiety depression schizophrenia and mood disorders 3 years of experience in mental health nursing working in either inpatient or community settings Basic life support BLS and advanced psychiatric nursing certifications are an advantage Familiarity with mental health legislation patient rights and confidentiality protocols
