We are currently seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case Technical Support Specialist to join our team in supporting the AIMS / IFF Focus in Tokyo, Japan.
What you’ll do :
The FMS Case Technical Support Specialist will provide specialized Foreign Military Sales (FMS) technical support services to the AIMS (Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System, Identification Friend or Foe, Mark XIIB, System) Program Office and Case Managers, focusing on support for Japanese FMS cases. This role delivers systems engineering support services that ensure the successful integration, testing, and delivery of DoD Mark XIIB IFF capabilities across multiple Japanese platforms. This includes in-country technical liaison, program management, and linguistic support.
Responsibilities :
- Provide engineering support for Mark XIIB component integration, interface, and testing in Japanese platforms, including analysis of test procedures, test results, test equipment, and identification of integration and interface requirements to ensure proper system performance, as required by Japanese FMS cases
- Serve as the in-country technical liaison, providing program management and linguistic support to the AIMS PO and the Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF) in support of Japanese FMS Cases
- Document and support FMS processes, provide translation services, and act as the Japanese Technical Support Liaison for AIMS products across all JSDF platforms
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMS) as directed, providing technical insights and analysis
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and / or MBC’s clients. Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or engineering from an institution accredited in the United StatesActive DOD Secret security clearanceAt least five (5) years’ relevant experience with a minimum of two (2) years supporting a federal government entityMinimum five (5) years of Japanese FMS experienceMinimum five (5) years of IFF, Mark XIIB System (AIMS) related experienceFluent in Japanese with experience providing translation support as demonstrated by achieving technical proficiency and functional fluency (i.e., score of a 3+) on Interagency Language Round Table (ILRR) Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) or equivalent test.U.S. citizen.Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and / or clientsAttend meetings and provide onsite / in-person support as requiredCompensation Policy : Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer.
