Pastry Sous Chef Job Location Dubai UAE Key Responsibilities Assist in organizing and coordinating pastry and dessert preparation ensuring standards are met Help achieve food cost targets set by the Head Pastry Chef Prepare a variety of baked goods and desserts following traditional and modern recipes Develop new ideas and items including nongluten options ensuring high quality Innovate menu offerings to enhance member and guest experience Monitor and order baking ingredients within budget Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry section Prepare duty rotas assist with vacation planning and manage overtime Conduct demonstrations of dishes and record the process Manage the Pastry Department in the absence of the Head Chef Qualifications and Skills Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or highend restaurants Recognized professional certification Proficient in English both written and spoken Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent team management and problemsolving abilities High integrity and confidentiality Selfmotivated with a mindset for continuous improvement Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods
