Job Summary

The CNC Machinist is producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and responsible for maintaining part quality, safety standards & company equipment’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all safety rules policies provided by NOV.
  • Produce / Machine threaded Connections & parts as per the provided drawing and program.
  • Inspect and verify that each thread & part is generated as per the provided specification.
  • Follow all the guidelines provided by the Superintendent.
  • Maintain a neat and dean working environment.
  • Responsible for care, use, and protection of all company equipment. Know, understand, and follow all company and department safety rules.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
  • Perform job duties accurately and responsible. Verify part and work order.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIESREQUIRED :

  • Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments.
  • Study First article parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to Machining products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Math Skills : - Good math skills will help CNC machinists understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
  • Problem Solving Skills : - CNC machinists will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
  • Attention to Detail : - CNC machinists will work with precision equipment. Being off by millimeters & Inches (Thousandth of an could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required.
  • Mechanical and Technical Skills : - Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD / CAM technology.
  • Stamina : - CNC machinists often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
  • Conceptual Skills : - Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail and Judgment

    • QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • DME or ITI or vocational training courses in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience.
  • Work experience in Turner, Machinist, Fitter trades.

    • Experience :

  • DMG Mori (Beta-CTX2000 TC, Gamma CTX3000TC),
  • Mazak Machines (Integrex 400, ST450, STN500 / 550M),
  • ROMI Machine (M33, M43),
  • Doosan (Puma700LM, DBC130L).
  • Oil & Gas experience in the manufacturing field.

    • Skills, Training, special knowledge, and / or Language skills

  • Candidate must be familiar with operating a CNC machine, on Rotatory Shoulder Connections (API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, Vam and HWDP (Drill pipe, Drill Collars and Drill Stem Components).
  • Must be able to communicate in English and able to take and follow written and verbal instructions.
