To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of disease under the scope of care of the related specialty Responsibilities Assessment care and treatment of patients presenting acutely to the specialty and formulating treatment decisions seeking advice from the consultant specialist as appropriate Conduct regular thorough examinations on newborns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development Prescribe medications and give detailed instructions for administration Responsible for monitoring the patients condition and progress and reevaluate and treat the patient accordingly Prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities Identifying and refer Trauma patients to the required specialty Advise parents on children s diet exercise and disease preventive measures Keep updated records of patients illnesses surgeries or other medical episodes Responsible for identifying and appropriately transferring all the MedicoLegal Cases on time with all the proper documentation and information to the hospital management as per the hospital policy Responsible for initial assessment requesting investigation analysing the rest results diagnosis treatment and reassessment on followup Participation in Registrar on call Rota and to provide cover in exceptional circumstances for colleagues absence Although a timetable will be provided you will be expected to be flexible in the interest of patients care and to meet the needs of the department as decided by the HOD and CMO Will be OnCall as per hospital policy as needed and will assume the duties of Coordinator of Department Education Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery MBBS Master Degree in the Specialty All these medical educations must be from the Universities approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait
