Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and board-certified Consultant Hematologist with a focus in Transfusion Medicine to join a prestigious tertiary-care center in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services in hematological disorders and oversee safe, efficient transfusion practices in line with national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with benign and malignant hematological conditions (e.g., anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, coagulopathies).
• Supervise blood bank operations and transfusion protocols, including compatibility testing and inventory management.
• Lead apheresis, plasma exchange, and cellular therapy services (if applicable).
• Guide clinical staff on transfusion guidelines and support management of transfusion reactions.
• Collaborate with laboratory medicine, oncology, and bone marrow transplant teams.
• Participate in hematopathology consultations and interface with external reference laboratories.
• Contribute to CME activities, mentorship programs, and quality assurance initiatives within the hospital.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with SCFHS and MOH regulations.
