- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
- Utilize appropriate industry benchmarks, historical data, and market rates to ensure realistic cost projection
- Evaluate bids and proposals from contractors and suppliers, analyzing pricing structures, technical specifications, and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare tender evaluation reports and make recommendations to the project team regarding contract award decisions.
- Monitor project expenses and cash flow throughout the construction process.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and potential risks that may impact the project budget.
- Implement effective cost control measures and provide regular cost reports to project stakeholders.
- Measure and quantify works completed on-site, including materials, labor, and equipment usage.
- Ensure accurate quantity take-offs and maintain records for cost control and payment purposes.
- Collaborate with the design team to verify quantities and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare regular cost reports, progress reports, and financial forecasts for the project team and stakeholders. – Maintain accurate documentation of cost-related activities, contracts, claims, and variations.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and reporting requirements.Attend meeting with Clients, Third Parties etc.Attend all the Company-organised training courses when invited.Awareness of Company’s QHSE Policy and Integrated Management System.Be aware of and obey the Company QHSE rules and perform the activities required by relevant procedures on these issues.Qualification
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in PMC or construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and industry practices.Proficient in cost estimation techniques and relevant software applications.Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Knowledge of local construction regulations and procurement practices.Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience, with GCC / UAE experience mandatory.Familiarity with on-site operations and specific software tools.Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
