The job holder is required to coordinate, execute and monitor activities of all P&O Maritime JA assets and ensure effective two way communication with DP World Marine Department is maintained at all the time.
Operations
Major Activities / Deliverables :
- Communicate orders from Marine Department to the vessels, boats and mooring gangs
- Communicate movements and orders to the Marine Pilots
- Coordinate mooring gang movements and utilization
- Coordinate tugs / mooring boats movements and utilization
- Act as focal point of communication between Port control and all marine support services provided by P&O Maritime
- Maintain communication with external parties to ensure safety of operations and related actions
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed by the Management
- Log, communicate and act as instructed by the Management in case of emergency, incident, accident or similar issue
- Timely inform all relevant parties about any emergencies or incident, strictly following P&O Maritime related procedure and response plan
- Communicate with the Technical Department immediately if any break down for all assets
- Monitor position & speed of P&O Maritime vessels within the port limits
- Liaise with Technical Team about asset emergency breakdowns and planned maintenance
- In case of any incident or accident, collect all relevant data from involved parties and circulate via e-mail gathered information to all included in UAE Incidents e-mail distribution list

Diploma or Degree in a maritime-related discipline such as Nautical Science, Marine Transportation, or Maritime Studies.Minimum STCW II / 1 Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency.VHF Radio Communication Certificate (., GMDSS ROC or equivalent).Solid understanding of marine operations, including vessel types, port layouts, and basic navigation principles.Proficiency in Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) systems or other port control software.High level of computer literacy, especially with monitoring systems, reporting tools, and communication platforms.Significant experience in tug operations, port operations, or a similar maritime control environment.Experience
2–5 years of proven experience in port operations, marine traffic coordination, or vessel scheduling.Prior experience in logistics, terminal operations, or marine support services is considered beneficial.
