Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Engineer to join our UAE team. The role involves site work to monitor and audit construction contractors from a Health and Safety perspective.

This position is based in Madinat Zayed and requires an individual with an infrastructure background.

We seek a qualified Health and Safety professional with a strong systems and auditing background in managing and monitoring construction contractors. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience :

• Minimum of 15 years relevant construction HSE experience
• ISO 45001 : 2018 Lead Auditor Certification
• OSHA Registration
• NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 or equivalent (e.g., OTHM Diploma Level 6)
• NEBOSH qualification (Diploma or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety)
• Capable auditor with sound knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (preferably certified by an international accreditation body)
• Experience in auditing construction contractors
• Ability to establish HSE processes and procedures for safe construction site operations
• Experience in delivering and preparing training and technical presentations to staff and clients
• Continuous monitoring of safety inspections and issues on site, with regular reporting
• Training staff on HSE codes and practices
• Conducting risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and job safety analyses
• Investigation and reporting of accidents / incidents
• Experience working in the Middle East region is essential

Experience in environmental audits is a desirable quality in candidates.
