ABOUT THE ROLE

Role : Assistant Director in Sales

Summary :

  • Strong background in Consortia sales and account management, with proven success driving this segment.
  • Extensive experience in the Leisure market, particularly covering UK, DACH, GCC, and Russian markets.
  • Ability to develop and execute proactive sales strategies to secure new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Strong relationships with key luxury travel partners, wholesalers, and high-end leisure agencies worldwide.
  • Experience representing the hotel at international roadshows, tradeshows, and sales missions.
  • Skilled in creating targeted offers and packages tailored to various leisure and consortia markets.
  • Excellent leadership and team development abilities to support and mentor junior sales team members.
  • Deep understanding of revenue optimization and working closely with revenue and marketing teams to maximize performance.
  • A passport that allows travel to key European countries, the US, Asia, and GCC for client visits and events.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing high-value deals and building long-term partnerships.
  • Ideally Dubai or UAE beach experience

ABOUT THE FUNCTION

The Sales function for Emaar aims towards increasing hotel(s) occupancies and revenues by managing qualified business partners. In line with goals and strategies defined by the function head, business partners management covers opportunities qualification, contracting, promotional activities and hotel product awareness.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Minimum 3 years in a sales managerial role or 1 year as sales department head
  • Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management or Business related field
  • Previous experience of Opera, Delphi and Customer Relationship Management Systems
  • Understanding of department P&L and expense budget exercise
  • Track records of successful team management and development
  • Ability to analyze accounts and people performance leading to impactful actions
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or business / economics
  • Understanding of online distribution channels
