Consultant Psychiatrist

As a Psychiatrist in Dubai, you will provide high-quality mental health care services to a diverse range of patients. You will diagnose, treat, and manage mental health disorders, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive treatment plans. The position requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a patient-centered approach, catering to both expatriates and local Emirati populations.

Responsibilities :

• Review patients’ medical history and collect additional information from family members and psychologists as needed
• Evaluate patients’ emotional, behavioural and mental state through discussion, observation and analysis
• Identify mental disorders and determine best treatments
• Develop therapy plans
• Prescribe medications
• Analyse medical tests and track patients’ progress
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalisation is required
• Advise patients on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdowns
• Support patients’ loved ones and inform them about the patient’s condition
• Research medical issues and new medical treatments to update your knowledge on mental healthcare.
