Legal Counsel

Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Switch, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere and Public.

We are presently seeking to hire a highly qualified Legal Counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our business. This role would be responsible for ensuring that the company abides by the prevalent legal guidelines and act as legal advisor to management about all relevant issues.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment, preferably in the Food & Beverage industry.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
• Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation
• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
• Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
• Outstanding communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree
• MA or BSc in Business Administration will be considered an advantage
