Profile Summary :
A dynamic Business Development and Marketing professional within the Logistics Department, responsible for driving revenue growth across both warehousing / distribution and air freight services. This role combines proactive sales generation, strategic market analysis, and strong relationship management to secure new business and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales & Business Development :
Drive sales for warehousing, distribution, and air freight services.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while retaining and growing existing client accounts.
Marketing & Market Analysis :
Develop and implement targeted marketing initiatives that support logistics projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, competitor intelligence, and market research to spot trends and recommend new service offerings.
Client Relationship Management :
Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, service providers, and government authorities (e.g., seaports, airports).
Proactively address client complaints, resolve operational issues, and ensure timely settlements of receivables.
Reporting & Forecasting :
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, pipeline analyses, and performance reviews for senior management.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) against targets and recommend corrective actions.
Target Achievement :
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue objectives.
Communication & Collaboration :
Liaise internally with Logistics, Operations, and Finance teams to align on service delivery and continuous improvement.
Engage externally with customers, customs authorities, and regulatory bodies to streamline processes.
Occupational Health & Safety :
Follow and enforce safety protocols in warehouse and freight handling environments.
Report incidents promptly and has the authority to halt unsafe activities.
Candidate Requirements :
Experience :
3-4 years of progressive sales or business development experience in warehousing, distribution, and / or air freight within the UAE.
Industry Knowledge :
Deep understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, distribution networks, and air cargo processes.
Sales & Marketing Skills :
Proven track record of identifying and converting business opportunities, managing sales pipelines, and executing marketing campaigns.
Client Management :
Excellent at fostering long-term customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
Analytical & Reporting :
Skilled in market feasibility studies, competitor analysis, and in preparing detailed sales performance reports.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies :
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills (English fluency required; Arabic is a plus).
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex logistics solutions.
Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and sales-management tools.
Highly organized, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
