Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Masterplan Design Director to join our project management team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reporting directly to the Projects Programme Director, this role is pivotal in shaping large-scale developments, aligning design, functionality, and business objectives. The Director will manage the Masterplan Team, ensuring all masterplans adhere to the client's vision and regulatory standards within a PMC framework, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver sustainable urban planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning : Define the overarching design vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulations.
• Stakeholder Coordination : Collaborate with architects, engineers, urban planners, authorities, landowners, and clients to integrate diverse perspectives.
• Design Oversight : Manage conceptualization, refinement, and review of design frameworks for aesthetic, functional, and sustainable outcomes.
• Project Integration : Ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to local and international laws, environmental regulations, and urban policies.
• Innovation & Sustainability : Implement cutting-edge, sustainable urban planning practices, including smart city concepts.
• Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, assign tasks, and oversee team performance and development.
• Project Monitoring : Track progress, resolve technical issues, and report on project status, risks, and compliance.
• Technical & Creative Input : Provide expertise and direction on master planning projects, review proposals, and ensure quality standards.
• Industry Trends : Stay updated on urban planning innovations and incorporate best practices.
