QA QC Engineer Civil Engineer

The QA QC Engineer for Civil Engineering plays a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects meet the required standards of quality and safety This position is essential in the maritime and marine engineering sectors where precision and adherence to regulations are paramount The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with a focus on quality assurance and quality control processes This role involves collaborating with various teams to uphold the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle from planning to execution Responsibilities Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for civil engineering projects Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and resolve qualityrelated issues Prepare and maintain quality documentation including reports checklists and nonconformance reports Train and mentor junior staff on quality control processes and best practices Coordinate with external agencies for quality inspections and certifications Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings Participate in project meetings to discuss qualityrelated topics and improvements Continuously assess and improve quality management systems and processes Preferred Candidate Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in quality management software and tools Detailoriented with a commitment to high standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Adaptability to changing project requirements and environments Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry Knowledge of relevant codes and standards in civil engineering Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
