RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs prevenve maintenance, repairs, and modificaons to electrical systems on various
- company-owned equipment and vehicles.
- Uses various skilled techniques and equipment, including ming lights, voltage test units, motor
- winding testers, and hand tools.
- Diagnoses faults and effects repairs using electrical testing equipment like ammeters and
- ohmmeters.
- Executes routine repairs to lighting, ignition, alternators, and starters on plant, heavy equipment,
- boats, and light vehicles.
- Conducts preventve maintenance checks, including lights, gauges, batery condition, and
- electrolyte levels.
- Performs critical maintenance or repair tasks on rotating equipment, including disassembly,
- cleaning, and rebuilding of components.
- Execute electrical overhauls on major systems or equipment, such as changing wiring systems and
- rewinding motors.
- Assists with all vehicle / equipment mechanical maintenance work as part of a team.
- Maintains baeries for reliable output and replaces faulty low-tension wiring.
- Ensures workshop equipment and tools are in clean and efficient operating condition.
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures and follows the manufacturer's recommending.
- Provides information to the supervisor about spare parts requirements and assists in
- commissioning and testing new electrical systems or equipment.
- Assists in electrical work for annual vehicle registration and roadworthiness test preparations.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
Minimum Qualification
Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, followed by complition of a recognized electricaltraining course, ideally specializing in vehicle electrical systems, equivalent to 2 years' full me.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills4 years praccal experience in a Heavy vehicle Equipment Maintenance workshop, preferably inthe Gulf region.Fair written and spoken English.Professional SkillsEXCELLENT SKILLS IN READING AND INTERPRETING ELECTRONIC WIRING DIAGRAMS; STRONG TROUBLESHOOTING
