DAY YO DAY OPERATIONS

Manage the day-to-day OH&S aspects of the project and to ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and complied.

Maintain Firefighting equipment on board in a state of readiness.

Stand-by or monitor hot work locations as per the hot work permit requirements.

Monitor compliance to Hot Work procedure on assigned areas and report unsafe act / condition.

Participate in Emergency Drills.

Fire prevention.

Emergency Response to rescue of injured or trapped personnel or fighting fire.

Maintenance of all fire rescue equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Secondary / High school pass.

Fire and rescue training.

Trained as a fireman and served minimum three years training with a national fire brigade / shipyard.

Good knowledge of Fire and Rescue techniques.

Familiar with the ship / Rig construction.

Good knowledge on fire prevention.

Good awareness about hot work / Fire related risk and other safety related procedures.
