Job Description

Role Overview

As a Laundry Supervisor at Banyan Tree Dubai, you are responsible for overseeing all laundry operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, quality, and efficiency in the processing of linen, uniforms, and guest laundry.

You will supervise the laundry team, ensure proper handling of fabrics, and maintain strict quality control in line with luxury hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry Operations Management

• Supervise daily laundry operations including washing, drying, pressing, and folding.
• Ensure all hotel linen, guest laundry, and uniforms are processed efficiently and on time.
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely delivery to rooms and operational departments.
• Maintain proper handling of different fabric types and care requirements.

Team Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise laundry attendants and assign daily tasks effectively.
• Provide training, guidance, and on-the-job support to team members.
• Monitor performance, productivity, and adherence to SOPs.
• Conduct daily briefings and ensure clear communication within the team.

Quality Control

• Inspect all cleaned linen, uniforms, and guest items to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure proper stain removal procedures and re-processing where required.
• Maintain consistency in folding, pressing, and presentation standards.
• Report damaged or lost items according to procedures.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Ensure proper operation of laundry machines and equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laundry areas.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor and control laundry supplies, detergents, chemicals, and linen stock.
• Assist with inventory checks and replenishment requests.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of laundry chemicals.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Follow proper handling procedures for chemicals and machinery.
• Maintain compliance with Lost & Found procedures for guest items.
• Ensure safe working practices across all laundry operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in laundry operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong understanding of laundry processes, equipment, and fabric care.
• Experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in laundry operations.
