The main purpose of this position is to lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile conferences and events that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. The Senior Conference Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of events through effective project management, stakeholder engagement, budget oversight, and team leadership
Requirements
- Lead the end-to-end planning, design, and delivery of large-scale conferences and summits aligned with strategic objectives.
- Develop content-rich programs, themes, and session formats that reflect current and future trends within the relevant industry
- Collaborate with steering committees, advisory boards, and clients to shape program direction and speaker curation.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional internal team of producers, coordinators, and support staff.
- Ensure clear delegation of tasks, ongoing team communication, and delivery within timelines and standards.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for high-level clients, government entities, strategic partners, and sponsors.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring their objectives are met and exceeded.
- Source, invite, and manage top-tier speakers, moderators, and VIPs, including ministers, CEOs, and international experts.
- Oversee all speaker logistics and communications, ensuring smooth participation and alignment with session goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, competitive benchmarking, and client referrals.
- Support proposal development, bid submissions, and pitches for new conferences or partnerships.
- Lead on-site event operations including speaker logistics, stage and show management, and production coordination
- 10–15+ years of experience in conference management, large-scale events, or content-led summits.
- Proven experience managing high-level stakeholders, preferably within government, semi-government, or large corporate environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
