Overview

Whole School Principal needed in Ras Al Khaimah for the next Academic Year. The school serves about 1000 students. The majority of students are local with Arabic as the main language. The school seeks an outstanding leader with a proven track record of driving academic and operational excellence in a school setting, preferably with experience in the GCC region.

  • Are you an outstanding leader and have experience being a whole school Principal?
  • Do you have STRONG experience with the USA Common Core or Colorado State Curriculum?
  • Do you have experience of leading in the United Arab Emirates or the Middle East region?

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgets, timetables, recruitment and retention, policies and procedures, school improvement, teaching and learning, career professional training / staff training, curriculum development, change management, and school inspections.
  • Manage education legislation changes in the UAE.
  • Oversee salary package planning, including a tax-free salary up to 35,000 AED per month, housing, medical cover, annual flights, visa cover, gratuity, and a renewable 2-year contract.

    • Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have a degree in education or a Bachelor's with a valid state teaching license; M.Ed, NPQH, or Principal license is highly desirable.
  • Ideally 5 years of solid management experience with stable tenure.
  • Western-trained; Arabic language ability is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience of leading a school in the GCC is highly desirable; knowledge of MOE Inspection framework is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to obtain UAE equivalency and attest documents.
  • Applicants should demonstrate ability to observe and implement positive, gradual change without disrupting existing systems; capability to develop a strong internal team.

  • Experience of working in or with an Islamic environment and teaching in the Middle East is beneficial.
