The Emergency Medical Technician EMT provides immediate prehospital emergency medical care to individuals in need The EMT responds swiftly to emergency calls assesses patients conditions provides necessary medical interventions and ensures patient safety during transport to medical facilities Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls and arrive at the scene equipped to provide medical assistance Assess patients conditions and determine the appropriate course of treatment Provide basic life support BLS including CPR wound care splinting and airway management Operate emergency medical equipment and assist with advanced procedures under supervision Safely transport patients to hospitals or medical facilities while monitoring their condition Maintain cleanliness and readiness of ambulance and medical supplies Document patient care reports accurately and thoroughly Communicate effectively with medical personnel and dispatchers Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times Participate in ongoing training and skill development Qualifications Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician EMTBasic or equivalent from a recognized authority Valid driver s license and a clean driving record Good physical stamina and ability to lift or move patients Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure Knowledge of local emergency protocols and medical procedures
